Our optometrist provides comprehensive eye care services for all ages, including routine vision examinations and the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders.

Optometrists, also called doctors of optometry (O.D.) diagnose and treat vision problems, eye diseases and related conditions, as well as prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications to treat eye disorders. They do not perform surgery, but they often provide patients with pre- and post-surgical care.

At Jackson Hinds Comprehensive Health Center, our optometrist, Dr. Johnson is a valued member of the health care team. Many chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension can impact overall eye health. That is why it is important to visit the optometrist regularly.
