- Environmental Health
JHCHC refers environmental health issues and needs to the State Department of Health.
- Testing & Screening
JHCHC has available a vast array of diagnostic testing and screening services including, but not limited to vision, hearing, developmental, pap smears, prostate and colorectal cancer, breast and cervical cancer, cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and hypertension.
JHCHC participates in 3-4 community health fairs each month, which gives additional opportunities to provide screenings.
- Nutrition
JHCHC has a registered dietician and two licensed dietitians on staff to counsel patients on dietary choices.
- Pharmacy
JHCHC has an in-house pharmacy that stocks many of the medications that are prescribed by the providers. Sample medications are also available courtesy of several pharmaceutical companies. JHCHC also participates in Pfizer’s “Sharing the Care” program, which provided over $197,000.00 worth of medications to JHCHC patients in 2002.
- Women, Infants & Children’s Nutrition (WIC)
JHCHC is a WIC program site. Pregnant mothers and eligible families with children up to age 5 may participate. Participants may receive baby formula, cereals, juice, eggs, cheese, milk, peanut butter, dry peas or beans, nutrition counseling and breastfeeding counseling.
