Central Mississippi Civic Improvement Association, Inc. (CMCIA), d/b/a Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center has named Attorney Marshall Lusk chairman of its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of civic and religious organizations, homeless persons, homemakers and residents of medically underserved communities that utilize center services and special programs. Board members monitor adherence to Jackson-Hinds’ mission to provide low-cost, quality health care to the medically underserved. They also work closely with the CEO to align the direction of services with community needs.
Jackson-Hinds is the state’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center, with over 28 locations in Hinds, Warren and Copiah counties and almost 50,000 users. The JHCHC service area includes 322,882 residents of medically-underserved urban and rural communities.
